Rita’s Hustle
The show begins with a young man driving a motorbike on the road. Somewhere else, a young woman evades the cops and sets up in front of a shop to sell her DVDs. Some guys soon come to buy some adult films and Rita ends up chasing them away when she counsels them against that and urges them to buy something else instead.
In the meantime, Christopher “Tupe” got intîmate with his girlfriend at her place, only to run off when her father shows up. As Rita packs up her stuff, Maggie, a friend of hers, comes over and makes a futile attempt to convince her to go and get some real food to eat.

Some policemen patrolling the area spot them but Rita escapes with her DVDs alongside Maggie. As they converse later on, Tupe speeds by on his motorbike and causes Rita to fall to the ground because he was distracted with his phone ringing. Tupe parks nearby to answer the phone call from his dad.
Rita’s Troubles
Rita angrily rises to her feet to go and confront the biker but then she stops and observes from a few steps away when she realizes who he is. Tupe turns to apologize to her, only for Rita to throw a stone at his motorbike and run off.
Later that night, Rita returns to the boarding house and gets admonished by her landlady for losing yet another roommate. She’s appalled to learn of how his younger brother Khyle had trivialized his studies and gone to get a girl pregnant.
On the phone, Rita scolds the brother in question, only to get a talking-to from her mother Celia. In school, the teacher finds Tupe asleep and she wakes him up and asks him to explain a topic she had been teaching. Tupe explains with ease and style, much to the cheers of his classmates.

Unfortunately, the policemen who had chased Rita earlier show up at the boarding house to search the place.Rita quickly packs up her DVDs in her bag and she slips out the window. In her attempt to escape, she runs into Tupe who confronts her for denting his motorbike earlier.
As Tupe keeps her from running off, the policemen come upon the scene and when they notice the pirated DVDs, they decide to take them both into custody. At the precinct, Rita has an exchange of words with Tupe before her “boyfriend” Raymund shows up to bail her out.
While Tupe is left stranded there, Rita goes to the hospital to see Maggie. A mother begins to get agitated when her sick daughter becomes unresponsive. Rita quickly performs CPR on the girl and manages to revive her before the doctor’s arrival. Later, Rita heads home with Maggie and Tupe spies.
A moment later, Rita has the shock of her life when she wakes up to find him in her room and she makes a fuss and tries to drive him out.
Rita is appalled to learn that the landlady had made Tupe her roommate because he had told her that they were close friends.

Tupe goes to see her little sister Hannah after learning that she had gotten into a fight in school for defending their father who’s been branded as a corrupt engineer. When Tupe brings Hannah home, their father Miguel blows a fuse and beats him up after he questions his morality.
Tupe drives his motorbike on the road and recalls how a friend of his had been k!lled after a bridge his father had built poorly had collapsed. Raymund manages to get Rita a job opportunity to burn some DVDs for a friend of his which would earn her enough money to get her review done for the board.
Tupe returns to the room at the boarding house pretty drunk and makes futile advances at Rita. The next morning, Rita lashes out at Tupe when she finds him still in his underwear and before leaving, she warns him not to touch her stuff.
